Strategic Operations, Inc. is currently seeking full-time, qualified military instructors, who specialize in antiterrorism (AT), security operations, and weapons training. Contingent upon contract award, these AT leadership and weapons-based instructors will provide the U.S. Navy’s Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) with training, operational, and administrative support. Strategic Operations Inc., on the lot of Stu Segall Productions, a full-service TV / movie studio located in San Diego, provides “Hyper-Realistic” training services and products for military, law enforcement and other organizations responsible for homeland security. The company employs state-of-the-art Hollywood battlefield special effects, combat wound effects, role players, subject matter experts, instructors, and training scenarios to create training environments that are the most unique in the industry. The company manufactures patent-pending modular, mobile MOUT systems, props, faux weapons, and live fire targets, including radio controlled ballistic unmanned ground vehicles and constructs, enhances, and transforms MOUT facilities. Over the last seven years Strategic Operations has provided Hyper-Realistic training support to more than 300,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guard personnel prior to deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Job Description:
Instructor candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess U.S. military or law enforcement experience. Instructor candidates must be capable of passing a physical fitness test, health exam, background investigation, and periodic drug test. These personnel will be full-time employees, who receive full benefits for work performed on site at a government facility five days a week for generally eight hours per day.
Designated Learning Sites:
San Diego, California; Norfolk, Virginia; Chesapeake, Virginia; Mayport, Florida.
General Qualifications:
All instructor candidates must be U.S. citizens and former U.S. military or law enforcement personnel with direct experience in their fields of expertise. Applicants must be team-oriented individuals who possess one or more of the following qualifications and expertise:
*Navy NEC 9502 Instructor
*Navy NEC 9518 Naval Leadership Development Program
*Instructional Delivery Continuum Journeyman Instructor Training (A-012-0077)
*Instructional Delivery Continuum Journeyman Instructor Training Mobile Training Team (A-012-1011)
*Naval Leadership Facilitator (P-012-0045)
*Facilitator Training Course (P-012-0075)
*Nuclear Instructor Qualifications (A-661-0108)
*Nuclear Instructor Qualifications (A-661-0109)
*Training and Curriculum Design and Development (preferred)
*Information Technology (preferred).
Specific Qualifications:
AT Leadership Instructors
*Experience in AT/counterterrorism program management
*Past documented maritime interdiction operations experience, preferably as a visit, board, search, and seizure boarding officer
*Four years of practical experience in the area of Navy Security Force leadership or Navy AT program management
*Basic knowledge of security force training and readiness, AT planning, law enforcement, and security operations
*Secret security clearance
Weapons-based Instructors
*Two years of past military experience in an operational environment or as a law enforcement representative with a military or civilian security force
*Basic knowledge of U.S. Navy terminology, as well as shipboard and installation environments and configurations Basic understanding of military/civilian security force techniques
*Basic understanding of military/civilian security force techniques
*Qualified small arms weapons instructor
*Ability to obtain a Nonlethal Weapons – Basic Instructor qualification
